To apply for sponsorship please download the sponsorship form and complete.
You will need the following:
- Evidence of an offer to attend a school/university or other education institution
- An invoice from the education institution showing the fees.
- An estimate of any other costs that need to be covered

Some of our Recipients
Esther
Esther, for whom the Foundation was named, was the first recipient of sponsorship. Esther utilised sponsorship to upgrade her Diploma in Teaching to a Bachelor of Education (Primary). She graduated in 2022.
serah
Serah was a bright secondary school student attending a boarding school in Solomon Islands. She was repeatedly raped by a teacher at the school in the boarding house until, in Year 11, she eventually fell pregnant. This forced her to leave school and return to her village.
Serah met Mellita through one of the ACU immersion programs when the ACU group was visiting the island where she lived. The Foundation sponsored Serah to complete a Certificate in Hospitality while her mum looked after the baby.
grace
Grace is a young Solomon Islands woman. Her parents died when she was young and she had to go and live with her brother after their death. Her brother was unable to support Grace to continue her education, and wanted her to work as a babysitter and “house girl” for him and his wife.
Even with sponsorship for education, her brother would not provide accommodation or food unless she quit school and worked as his house girl. He cut up her soccer uniform and shoes to stop her playing on the Solomon Islands Women’s soccer team, and when the team replaced her gear, he cut them up again.
The Foundation is currently sponsoring Grace in a pathway course to enter teaching. We also cover her accommodation costs as she has no one to support her living arrangements during her studies.
